About the workshop

Our cinema workshops are designed and delivered by experienced teacher and examiner presenters, all of whom have a deep understanding of what students need to focus on in order to succeed in the 2023 exams.

Each Grade Booster workshop runs from 10.30 a.m. until 3.10 p.m. with four sessions delivered in the cinema screen by our specialist presenters. Students have a short break during the morning and 50-60 mins to relax over lunch before returning for a fast-paced, intensive afternoon session!

Your hosts

  • Jodie Jasmin

    Jodie has been a specialist teacher of BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 Health and Social Care for ten years following successful completion of her BSc Health Studies degree. Her favourite units include: Human Lifespan Development, Psychological Perspectives and Sociological Perspectives. Jodie is also an experienced examiner across Level 1-Level 3 Health and Social Care. Jodie is currently one year into her MSc in Psychology and Mental Health.

  • Lana Carlson

    Lana is an experienced HOD, Lead IV and has taught Health & Social Care for 13 years in secondary schools. She is an experienced examiner and has a BSC (Hons) Degree in Health and Social Care Management and PGCE in Health and Social Care.

  • Liz Blamire

    Liz is a former NHS midwife, who has worked in community, birth centre and acute hospital settings. Liz is an SSAT Accredited Lead Practitioner, who has taught Health and Social Care in FE and secondary schools, where she was a successful HOD. Liz is an experienced senior examiner and author and is the current tutor2u subject lead for Health and Social Care.

  • Lynne Fountain

    Lynne is Head of Social Sciences at a girl's comprehensive school in London. She has taught Health and Social Care in FE and secondary schools since 2014 and she is an experienced examiner. Lynne has an MSC in Criminology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Service Management. Prior to her teaching career, Lynne held a variety of roles for the Department of Education, the charity sector, youth justice and a large children's hospital.

  • Zoe Grice

    Zoe is a specialist teacher of Health and Social Care and an examiner. Previous to teaching she worked in Acute Care Wards and Accident and Emergency. Zoe studied Biological Sciences and Biomedical Sciences at Brighton University and plans to undertake an MSc in Education in the near future.
