Before you finish, try this last activity. You will be given the first part of a question and must eliminate any 'impossible answers'. When the full question is revealed choose the correct answer to score points.

Additional reading/task

Use this link to read about ‘agoraphobia’. This can be a very disabling condition and symptoms vary between people. This is a good example to use when considering how to apply ‘failure to function adequately’ to real life situations. Read the information and decide how this phobia fits into the definition of ability. You can also think about whether someone with this phobia would still be deemed abnormal, despite the changes in technology that have emerged over the last 10 years or so.

ADDITIONAL TEACHER GUIDANCE

This online lesson comprises:
